基督徒如何荣耀神呢？就是要多结属灵的果子。圣灵的果子是仁爱、喜乐、平安、忍耐、恩慈、良善、信实、 温柔、节制；这样天父就能因我们得荣耀。反之，淫乱、污秽、邪荡、 拜偶像、行邪术、仇恨、争竞、忌恨、忿怒、自私、分党、结派、 嫉妒、醉酒、荒宴，等等就会亏损主的名和荣耀。
所以我们要顺着圣灵而行，而不是顺着肉体和私欲去行，这是我们可以选择的。我们不能仗着自由选择权和无限的恩典就任性而为，每个人都要因言行受到教训和管教的，而且要付出代价。慎独，谨行吧！
